7 ways to cut spend without losing quality
- Draft on the cheapest model, then finish once. Test the prompt on Veo 3.1 Lite (10 credits) or a cheap Pika model, then re-run only the winning take on Quality or Seedance.
- Use short clips. Runway and Pika charge by clip length (for example 60 credits per 5s for Gen-4.5). Draft at 4–5 seconds and extend only takes you'll keep.
- Draft at lower resolution. CapCut Pro's 1,200 credits cover about 600s at 480p and 240s at 720p with Seedance 2.0 Mini. Upscale only the final cut.
- Watch for requests that make two clips. Google says one Flow request can create 2 videos, and credits are charged per generation.
- Use free daily credits before paid ones. Flow gives 50 credits a day, and they don't roll over, so spend them first every day.
